Calathea Lancifolia

‘Rattlesnake’ Plant

The Calathea Rattlesnake is a stunning tropical houseplant known for its long, wavy leaves with bold green patterns and deep purple undersides.

It thrives in bright, indirect light, consistently moist (but not soggy) soil, and high humidity, making it a great choice for bathrooms or homes with a humidifier.

Water when the top inch of soil begins to dry and avoid prolonged direct sunlight to keep its foliage looking its best.

Best of all, the Calathea Rattlesnake is pet safe, making it a beautiful, worry-free addition to homes with curious cats and dogs.

Frizzle Sizzle Plant

Frizzle Sizzle Care can be fairly easy. Place your plant in a bright, sunny spot, like a south-facing window. Provide at least 6 hours of bright light daily.

Watering and Soil, use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix with extra pumice or perlite. Water about once a week during the active growing season (fall through spring) once the top inch of soil is dry. Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering sessions to prevent fatal root rot.

Dormancy Care is important for the Frizzle Sizzle. The plant naturally goes dormant in summer, during which leaves turn yellow and die back. Reduce watering significantly to once every 2 to 3 weeks during summer, and stop fertilizing entirely.

Do not throw the plant away when it loses its leaves; it is only resting and will reshoot when cooler fall temperatures arrive.
